Grants for heat pumps
installation in Quebec
In Quebec, several government programs make it possible to reduce the cost of installing an energy-efficient heat pump.
Whether with Hydro-Québec, the Ministry of Energy, or the federal Greener Homes program, these grants can reach several thousand dollars and are not taxable.
With the support of Nordik Air, you benefit from the best possible rebates and reduce your energy bill starting in the first year.
Logisvert program
The Hydro-Québec LogisVert program offers a reimbursement of $120 per 1,000 BTU/h of heating capacity, up to a maximum of $6,700.
Variable amount depending on the power of the heat pump (measured at –8 °C).
The unit must be certified and eligible.
The application must be submitted within 6 months following installation.
Program Chauffez Vert
The Chauffez Vert program encourages households to replace their old oil or propane system with a modern electric solution. Financial assistance can reach $10,000.
Main conditions:
- Be the owner-occupant of a single-family home or a duplex.
- Replace an oil or propane system with a heat pump or electric heating.
- Use an RBQ-licensed contractor, such as Nordik Air.
Greener Homes Program
The federal Canada Greener Homes program offers assistance of up to $5,000 for energy-efficient renovations and an additional $600 for the energy assessment.
- An EnerGuide evaluation must be carried out before and after the work.
- The installed heat pump must appear on the list of eligible models.
- Applications must be submitted online with supporting documents.
Other available assistance
Some municipalities offer additional grants ($200 to $1,000) to encourage the transition to clean heating systems. Check with your city to find out about available programs.
Non-taxable grants
All grants obtained for the installation of a heat pump are not considered taxable income. They directly reduce the cost of the project, which maximizes your return on investment.
